Unit Staking Calculator: Manage Your Bankroll
This guide provides simple steps for using the Unit Staking Plan Calculator. The calculator helps you determine the correct bet size, or stake, based on your total funds, known as your Bankroll.
1. Input Your Core Data
Start by entering your total bankroll and selecting your currency. This step sets the foundation for all calculations.
- Select Currency: Click the dropdown menu labeled Currency. Choose your local currency (e.g., ₦ – Naira).
- Enter Total Bankroll: Type the amount of money you are willing to risk into the Total Bankroll field. Use a numerical value (e.g., 1000). The calculator automatically updates results as you type.
2. Choose a Staking Method
The calculator supports four major staking strategies. Select the method button that fits your risk profile.
- Flat Stake: Use this for a fixed percentage bet on every event. The calculator asks for a Unit Size (%). A Unit is a specific percentage of your bankroll; 1 unit often equals 1% to 3% for safety.
- Percentage: Bet a fixed percentage of your current bankroll. If your bankroll grows, the stake increases. The calculator prompts for the Stake Percentage (%).
- Kelly Criterion: This method calculates a stake based on decimal odds and your estimated win probability. It aims for maximum long-term growth. You must enter the Decimal Odds, Win Probability (%), and a safety Fraction (0.1-1) (e.g., 0.25 for quarter-Kelly).
- Fibonacci: This method is progressive. You increase the stake based on the Fibonacci sequence after a loss. Enter the Base Unit (%) and the current Sequence Position (e.g., position 3 for 2 x the base unit).
3. Review Your Results
After entering all required information for your chosen method, the results section appears. This section provides the calculated stake and a risk assessment.
- Recommended Stake: This is the precise amount of currency you should bet according to your chosen method and inputs.
- As % of Bankroll: This shows the calculated stake as a percentage of your original bankroll.
- After Bet: This shows your bankroll remaining after the recommended stake is placed.
- Risk Assessment: Read the brief message here for context on your chosen risk level (e.g., Conservative, Aggressive).
4. Understand the Unit Scale
The Unit Scale Reference table provides a quick lookup for common unit sizes. This helps you grasp how different unit percentages translate into specific currency amounts based on your entered bankroll.
- This table shows stakes for 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 10 units.
