Time Between Dates
“We’ve been dating for like… 2 years?” Wrong. It’s been 2 years, 3 months, 14 days, 6 hours, and 23 minutes. This calculator knows.
Or: “Contract started about 6 months ago.” Nope. It’s been 187 days. Time to renegotiate.
When you need exact duration between two dates (not approximations, not “around that time”), this is your tool.

Understanding Working Days
The calculator shows “working days” separately. That’s Monday through Friday only. Weekends don’t count.
Why this matters: If your contract says “30 working days notice,” that’s not 30 calendar days. It’s 6 weeks (because weekends are excluded).
Example: Notice given November 4 (Monday). 30 working days later is December 12 (not December 4).
The Direction Feature
Calculator tells you if time moved forward or backward. If first date is earlier, it’s “forward in time.” If first date is later, it’s “backward in time.”
Doesn’t change the math, just helps you understand which way you’re measuring.
Tips to Maximize This Tool
For invoicing: Track project start and end dates precisely. “From April 3, 9am to June 15, 5pm = 73 days, 8 hours.” Invoice accordingly.
For legal stuff: Court dates, contract periods, notice periods – all need exact calculations. This tool keeps you legally accurate.
For fitness goals: Started workout January 1, want to see progress by March 1? That’s exactly 59 days. Count every day.
For memories: How long since that major life event? Sometimes the exact number of days hits different emotionally.
Quick Math Check
The tool shows total in multiple units. Use this to verify:
- 1 year = 365.25 days (accounts for leap years)
- 1 month = 30.44 days (average)
- 1 week = 7 days
- 1 day = 24 hours = 1,440 minutes = 86,400 seconds
If you’re questioning the calculator’s math, now you know the formulas.
Why Precision Matters
“About 6 months” could mean anywhere from 170 to 190 days. That’s a 20-day margin of error. In business, relationships, or legal matters, that margin can cost you.
This calculator removes the guesswork. 183 days means 183 days. Period.
